A heartfelt story from Gil and Naomi.

An AJFN Success Story – Gil and Naomi Sebbag

Naomi and Gil Sebbag always dreamed of having a family. After three years of trying, it became clear that IVF was the only way forward. Following three unsuccessful cycles, their hope was fading as fast as their bank account. “I so desperately wanted a baby,” recalls Naomi, “but I knew we just couldn’t afford to go through another IVF cycle. It was devastating.”

By chance, Naomi was told about the Australian Jewish Fertility Network (AJFN) and made contact with Shterny Dadon. AJFN was able to provide financial support to the Sebbag’s so that she could continue IVF treatment. “In addition to the financial contributions, the emotional support from AJFN was invaluable too,” says Naomi. “It made me feel like I was not alone during this extremely trying journey.”

“The performance at Theatre for Soul will open the door on the heartache and hope of infertility and help women to support one another at a time when we need it the most.”

After 14 transfers, 3 miscarriages and thousands of tears, Naomi finally gave birth to a precious baby girl. “I will be forever grateful to the AJFN for helping to be part of my miracle”, says Ms Sebbag. “The joy she brings to our lives everyday is indescribable and every person who has donated to AJFN or come along to their events has played a part in helping to support new life. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.”
