AJFN news September 2017

“Yeshuat Hashem k’heref ayin. The salvation of G-d is like the blink of an eye.” – Pesikta Zutreta, Esther 4:17.

No matter how bleak something may look, salvation could be just around the corner. G-d can change everything in the blink of an eye. When I woke up last week there was a text message on my phone, ‘Thanks so so much for helping create our miracle baby!! We are beyond grateful for this little girl’. Attached was a photo of their baby. I realised in that moment it takes a village to create a life and how lucky I am to witness these miracles with the power of our community.

Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur is a time of promise and potential. It is a time of renewal, faith and hope for the coming year. But for many couples suffering from infertility, Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur is also a time of sadness and grief. It is a time when they are painfully reminded of all the beauty and blessing every baby brings to life – which is sadly missing from their own lives.
The Australian Jewish Fertility Network (AJFN) raises awareness about the struggles related to infertility and provides financial and emotional support.
To date, with the generous help of our supporters and friends we have been able to help every couple who have approached us for assistance with an incredible result of 15 babies being born to once previously childless couples.
The costs of helping a couple going through infertility are staggering and unpredictable which is why we are seeking your help. At present we are in the midst of assisting five couples and in order to continue supporting these couples, please consider making a donation today. Click here to donate now or please call Shterny 0410 348 770.
In the merit of your generosity and kindness may Hashem answer your prayers and may this year bring blessings of health, happiness and success to you and your loved ones.

Mentoring Program

Last month eight volunteer mentors completed their first training round preparing them for their role as a fertility mentor. We are so grateful for a committed start and are excited to be able to assist more women. Thank you to the volunteers and to Nadene Alhadeff who is facilitating and supporting this unique program and to The National Council of Jewish Women of Australia NCJWA (NSW).
With best wishes for a Gmar Chatima Tova – may you be inscribed in the Book of Life.
Warmest regards
Shterny, Yael and the AJFN team
